Cream Puff Filling

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/4 c cornstarch (if too runny when done, use a bit more next time)
  • 2 t flour
  • 1.5 c whole milk
  • 1/2 c cream
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten
  • 2 T butter
  • 2 t vanilla
  • Directions

    1. Whisk together sugar, cornstarch and flour.
    2. Whisk together cream, milk and dry ingredients.
    3. Microwave on high for 2 minutes.
    4. Remove from microwave and stir.
    5. Once starting to set, temper in eggs and whisk together.
    6. Continue to microwave for 1.5 minutes and stir until it boils.
    7. Boil for 30 seconds.
    8. Remove from heat.
    9. Add butter and vanilla and stir in completely.
    10. Allow to cool them refrigerate.
    11. Use for Cream Puffs.

    Notes

  • Use 1.5 recipes for the cream puff recipe.
